At Kindred, our goal is to keep costs transparent and straightforward. Below you'll find everything you need to know about how service fees, cleaning fees, and Credits work — and how they all fit together. Terms not defined in this policy may be defined in the Terms of Service.

Service Fee

The service fee you pay depends on your membership tier:

• Base Membership — [Service fees are charged on each reservation. They will vary and the exact fee is shown before you complete your booking. There is no fee required to become a Member.
• Kindred Passport — See Kindred Passport section below for full details.
• North America Founding Members — Our founding Members in the US, Canada, and Mexico will pay a flat $50 service fee per trip until further notice.
• Europe Founding Members — Our founding Members in the EU and UK will enjoy $0 in service fees until further notice.

Cleaning Fee

• To maintain a high quality experience for both Guest and Host, Guests are required to pay for two cleanings: one before the trip and one after the trip.
• The cleaning fee varies based on destination, trip length, bedroom count, Home size, and in some locations, season. Larger Homes may have higher cleaning fees outside this range. The specific cleaning fee will always be disclosed before a Member makes a reservation.
• Applicable taxes may be added to cleaning fees and service fees depending on your jurisdiction. Tax amounts, where applicable, will be shown at checkout before you complete your booking.

Kindred Passport

Kindred Passport is an annual subscription that provides eligible members with Passport benefits. Members may pay for their annual Passport subscription upfront or in four quarterly installments.

Members who purchase a Kindred Passport subscription will enjoy $0 service fees on all trips booked during their active subscription period (365 days from the date of purchase), regardless of trip length or location.

The annual Passport subscription costs $600. Members may pay the full amount upfront or choose four quarterly installments of $165.
