Welcome! Kindred Ambassadors are passionate volunteers who want to elevate and share the Kindred experience with other members and prospective members. Along the way, we want to support your travel dreams and experience as a host and guest on Kindred. We also want to connect Kindred power users to share their best tips, recommendations, and lean into their personal super powers to elevate and bring more value to the community.

Who can apply

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. We will review applications at the end of each month and will reach out after your application is reviewed and accepted.

Note: We are intentionally limiting the number of Kindred Ambassadors we bring on in order to ensure we can offer a more supportive, intimate, and personalized experience for each Ambassador.

💬 What Ambassadors do

Ambassadors are passionate supporters of Kindred and the community that we’re building. They have an authentic enthusiasm for community-driven travel and are excited to lean into their personal superpowers to add value to the community.

How specifically each Ambassador does this will look very different. We only care that you’re contributing in a manner authentic to you that supports your fellow Kindred members or the adoption of home swapping more broadly.

For example, Ambassadors may be focused on any of the following (but not limited to):

1. Engage IRL community

   • Host local meetups
   • Host a dinner series in your city for local members and members who happen to be in town
   • Be a friendly face of Kindred in your community, whether it’s meeting another member for a quick coffee or starting a thoughtful conversation online
   • Coordinate community service days for Kindred members in your city to volunteer together at local nonprofits
   • Become a “city host” to meet other members traveling to your city and/or make recommendations
   • Share local events happening in your area

2. Content creation

   • Inspire others by creating and sharing testimonials, tutorials, workspace tours, blogs, or whatever medium best fits your style and audience.
   • Create and share video testimonials on your Kindred experience
   • Write How-To or Best Practices guides on how to best use Kindred
   • Coordinate getting member-submitted designs for refreshed Kindred thank you cards

3. Engage or moderate on social media (Reddit, Instagram, X, Tiktok, etc)

   • Create content to be shared on Instagram or Tiktok
   • Engage and answer questions about Kindred on Reddit and/or Twitter/X
   • Launch and moderate a Kindred Families Facebook group within your community
   • Engage and moderate conversations with members on slack/whatsapp, etc

4. “First Timer” mentorship

   • Help guide new members through the hosting process, answer questions, facilitate AMAs, or create tips, etc.
